PLANT MANAGER
Reports to the Division General Manager
Plant location: Eastern North Carolina


JOB
Summary:
Directs and coordinates operations of the plant to achieve production objectives in an efficient manner while maintaining a safe working environment.
Essential Functions:

Develops and fosters a safety first culture. Establishes expectations for a safe and clean working environment.
Manages production schedules to include treating, framing, shipping, etc.
Schedules and conducts plant meetings as necessary.
Oversees plant Quality Control and Safety.
Develops and executes improvement initiatives for quality, cost savings, development of personnel, efficiencies, etc.
Develops and maintains well trained, motivated staff at adequate levels to meet production needs. Ensures cross training is utilized to prepare for vacations, unexpected vacancies, promotions, etc.
Ensures all plant assets are properly managed and maintained.
Monitors expenses to keep costs within budget and initiates corrective action procedures to bring costs in line where necessary.
Ensures plant operations are consistent with established policies and procedures.
Reviews plant invoices, packing slips, etc. for accuracy and approves for payment.
Monitors shipping department for accuracy and corrects any issues as they arise.
Coaches and trains yard supervisor(s) to work within established parameters to meet and exceed manufacturing/shipping goals.
Consistently works with the office team to establish good & positive communication and ensures coordination of appropriate paperwork flow to keep inventories accurate, billing up to date, credits received etc.
Ensures good communication with sales staff to ensure maximum capacity of the plant is being utilized and production is meeting customer specs and deadlines on a consistent basis. Ensures corrective action is being taken on all issues pertaining to quality and shipping.
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, Forestry or related field. 10
years of experience in Forestry business including manufacturing, sales and/or procurement required. Ten years management experience required.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
