Operates clinic switchboard, provides information, takes accurate messages, and calls to appropriate area. Screens and directs calls for physicians and nursing personnel and to other departments, office and other personnel. Responds to emergency calls according to established procedures. Uses paging system according to procedure. Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to HIPPA regulations. High School diploma or GED required. Six months switchboard experience, preferably in a clinic setting and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
