This position is located at Craven Correctional Institution a Medium Custody Adult Male Felon Diagnostic Processing Center located in Vanceboro, NC with an offender population of 850.
Case Managers meet semi-monthly with offenders or as frequently as needed, prepares assessment and plans for the offenders on their assigned case load as well as classification and control actions.
Case managers may also have mental health inmates on their caseload which require additional time to manage.
In addition case management duties, each case manager will have collateral duties such as education, recreation, substance abuse programs, community volunteers, inmate library and special projects involving offender art show/writing contest and the annual volunteer banquet.
Case managers are also often required to interact with community organizations to perform their duties.
