Mediation Center of Eastern Carolina Mediation Center of Eastern Carolina New Bern, NC New Bern, NC Part-time Contract Part-time Contract $13 - $15 an hour $13 - $15 an hour 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago Mediation Center of Eastern Carolina is looking to hire a contractor for approximately 5-10 hours per week as a Community Service/Restitution Program Assistant/Site Supervisor.
This position will serve Craven, Jones, or Pamlico Counties.
Candidates must have experience working with youth.
Candidates must be professional, organized, able to work independently as well as with a team.
Must be able to work some Saturday mornings and some evenings during the week from 5 pm - 8 pm.
Candidates must enjoy working with youth, have the ability to supervise, facilitate, mentor, inspire, and motivate youth.
Duties:
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other professionals Create and maintain databases using Microsoft Office Suite and other programs Help recruit and maintain an adequate number of work-sites Complete work-site evaluations on defendants and submit them to the coordinator in a timely manner Maintain accurate logs in regards to work-sites and number of hours completed by each youth Supervise and instruct youth at work-sites Work effectively with the program coordinator Able to demonstrate required task for youth Help facilitate classes Perform other duties as assigned by Associate Director and/or Program Coordinator Job Types:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
