This position is a dual roles / floater.
The employee will be learning both assisting in rooms with the doctor, as well as helping with boarding facility general care of canine and feline boarder.
This position allows someone who wants to learn more about veterinary medicine an opportunity to get a foot in the door and begin learning and advancement into being a veterinary assistant.
Experience is preferred but not necessary (pay will be guided based off experience / knowledge of the veterinary field).

Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner Answer phone calls, assists clients with scheduling appointments, and general needs Collect and update patient information in the system accurately Assist with filing, record keeping, and maintaining patient records Provide information to clients regarding services, fees, and policies Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants with handling and restraining animals during examinations or procedures.
Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of hospital and boarding facility Care for hospitalized and boarding patients, cleaning kennel spaces and walking pets as needed basis (providing food, water, medications, playtime) Assisting clients with understanding recommended treatment plans from doctor Assisting doctor in whatever needs he/she may require to care for both clients and patients Skills:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping Knowledge of basic animal care and medical terminology is a plus Courteous and respectful in dealing with clients, patients and colleagues Basic common sense and willingness to learn Ability to take constructive criticism and improve on your skill set with training Ability and willingness to clean, including excrement from animals Please note that experience in veterinary hospital is required for this position.
