Summary:
Responsible for maintaining the continual safety of all athletes at their respective secondary school through providing first aid, prevention, and care of athletic injuries.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required.
Certification of completion of the North Carolina Administration Code requirements for First Responders.
Must maintain yearly renewal requirements as set forth by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association.
Current CPR and AED certification.
Training or experience in EMS or health care environment preferred.
Be able to attend all football practices and games both home and away.
Does not have concurrent coaching responsibilities during the time in which they are working as a first responder.
